Why 'the wedge'? The name comes from the famous Bach fugue in E minor BWV548, which I consider the first dodecaphonic series, about three and half centuries before its invention! The wedge is also a piece of material, such as metal or wood, thick at one edge and tapered to a thin edge at the other for insertion in a narrow crevice, used for splitting, tightening, securing, or levering. Although the wedge is an useful and easy-to-use tool, I'll use this blog for articulated and changeable outpourings... with similar characteristics as the fugue in the title. Note that English is not my native language, but I use it to share my opinions with a wider community, so, forgive my mistakes, please. Have a nice reading of my next posts!
